We accept a range of secondary school qualifications completed in India for direct entry to our undergraduate programs, including:

For students who do not meet our direct entry, Trinity College Foundation Studies (TCFS) offers guaranteed entry into the University's undergraduate degrees.

English language requirements

All students must meet the University’s English language requirements. Accepted tests and required scores — check our English language requirements page for full details. If you don't yet meet the English language requirements for your course, the University of Melbourne English Language Bridging Program (UMELBP) or other pathway options may be available.

What scholarship options are available to students from India?

The University of Melbourne offers more than 1,200 scholarships and prizes, including bursaries and grants, for current and commencing students. Many of these are open to international students from India.

Students from India may be eligible for a 20% tuition fee remission through the Melbourne International Scholarship. These scholarships are designed to support high-achieving students whose access to international education may be limited by financial circumstances. The Melbourne International Scholarship is available to eligible students applying for undergraduate and graduate coursework programs.
