Overview

What you will learn

The Graduate Diploma will provide you with the knowledge base necessary for diagnostic-level performance of echocardiography and interpretation.

Surface ultrasound techniques such as ultrasound-guided procedures and nerve blocks, and specialist specific applications such as vascular ultrasound examination.

As a student, you will:

Advance your knowledge of echocardiography

Gain a deeper knowledge of:

Develop your understanding of clinical ultrasound applications

Examine the role of ultrasound in a range of clinical situations relevant to perioperative and critical care practice.

Learn from rich and varied case studies

Discover how to formally report diagnostic echocardiography studies and benefit from a range of complex case studies.

You will need to obtain practical experience at your institution or attend hands-on workshops to supplement your knowledge base, alternatively you could enrol in any of our practical workshops, giving you access to our innovative simulator room.
