Why commerce at Melbourne?

Focus your degree

The Bachelor of Commerce has seven majors you can choose from in your first or second year.

You can even complete a double major by combining any two majors listed above within the standard 300 credit points of the degree (no extra time required).

From 2026, you can deepen your knowledge by focusing 25 credit points of your level 3 elective study toward a specialisation within your major.

*You’ll need to start subjects from these majors in your first year because of accreditation requirements

Graduate pathways and future study

Whether your aim is to work for a large financial consultancy, a tech startup or a social enterprise, the Bachelor of Commerce can take you straight into industry, further business and economics specialisation at Melbourne Business School, or a pathway to a range of graduate programs such as Law or Engineering.
