What you will learn
Overview
This is a unique course that allows the student or junior doctor to understand how they can develop their professional skills so that they will be successful in their medical career progression. The course will also allow participants to learn from trainees as well as experienced tutors on how candidates achieve success.
Medical students and junior doctors spend a significant period of time acquiring the knowledge and training to ensure they are work ready from a practical skills perspective. Testimonials
"The course is incredibly useful. It had great advice on career progression, interviewing and presenting research. I was most impressed with the tone that the course had. It was relaxed and focussed not only on career progression but also finding the right career for you and balancing your life and career."
-Joe Cavanagh, MBBS Student
"Pitched perfectly to medical students, this course helped me understand things about successful career progression that are seldom taught in medical school, such as how to develop a medical CV, get started on a research project and present research effectively. While oriented towards surgery, much of the advice and practical strategies are also applicable to those who are undecided about their career path."
