Deadlines for Applications
While graduate research applications can be submitted at any time, applications will be assessed in the next admission and scholarship round.
A separate application is not required for Graduate Research Scholarships. These are assessed with your course application.
If you wish to apply for other University scholarships, such as the Fay Marles or Human Rights Scholarships, you will need to add these to your application. You can search for scholarships here: https://scholarships.unimelb.edu.au/.
Supervisor Nomination
PhD Researchers have a supervisory panel including a Principal Supervisor who will be their primary contact and mentor throughout the course. You can find a potential research supervisor by reviewing the research interests and expertise of academic staff at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and the Victorian College of the Arts or you can use the University Find an Expert pages.
It is advisable to contact potential supervisors prior to submitting a formal application. All submitted applications are assessed.

If you have any questions about making an application please contact the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music.
