UPCOMING INTAKES AND KEY DATES

There are currently no scheduled dates or intakes for this course.

If you are currently studying please wait to apply once you have the transcript with results of the subjects completed in the first half of 2026. You will not be disadvantaged by applying later as long as your application is submitted by the application closing date.

If you are still studying, the assessment to determine your eligibility for a conditional offer will be based on the results available at the application deadline. We are not able to reassess your application again if a conditional offer was not made.

Some applicants will receive an offer between April and October. An offer may be either a CSP or an Australian Fee Place. Others will receive an offer between 1 November and 22 December 2026.

You may receive an offer for a Commonwealth Supported Place, an offer for an Australian Fee Place, or a notification that your application has been put on a waitlist. If you are made an offer you should respond to that offer as it stands. Accepting or declining it will not affect your eligibility for further consideration for a Commonwealth Supported Place and / or a scholarship in the next part of the process.

The Selection Committee will convene in late October for a selection round to determine any additional offers for each fee type. Applicants who had previously been placed on a waitlist may receive a new offer and applicants who had previously recieved an offer for an Australian Fee Place may be given a new offer for a Commonwealth Supported Place.

At this point the Selection Committee will also determine who are the highest ranked holders of an Australian Fee Place and award them a Melbourne Juris Doctor Scholarship which offers a 35% tuition fee sponsorship for the duration of the Juris Doctor. The Selection Committee will also determine the award of the wide range of merit and equity-based scholarships that are available for students commencing the Juris Doctor.

There are a limited number of Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) for this course. To ensure you are considered for a CSP, submit your complete application prior to the application deadline.
